Free writing.

I have chosen this picture on pobble 365 because it really does catch my eye and it looks very interesting to write about. It was hard because I don't really get what the picture is. I hope you enjoy my piece of writing

It was the moment they had been dreading. Asleep all night long on a big rock can't go outside to even see where you are. Chains had been locked onto a big rock with a little house on it. At the end of the chains are para-shoots lifting the big rock as they get higher and higher. So scared and terrified not knowing where you are how did you get so high up in the sky.
As they poked their heads out of their windows,
they  are hundreds of meters above the whole
world. They had been banished. It was time to
find a new home.

  1. Kia ora Taylor my name is Kaitlin I am a year 6 at Paihia School. I really like your writing because it has so much detail about the picture. We’ve started some writing similar to this. The picture is a dragon on one side of the castle with a boy standing next to him and on the other edge of the castle is another boy standing and holding a pitchfork with some meat on it . Have you done any more free writing? Keep up the good work.

  2. Kia Ora Taylor, my name is Katipa, I am from Paihia School and I’m a year 8.
I was really impressed by your writing because I loved the descriptions you put in. For example I liked the way you described “They had been banished. It was time to find a new home.” because you described that they needed to move on. The image looked cool to write about, but, it kind of isn’t my style. I like writing about action and mythology, which are mostly narratives. Did you choose the image by yourself? Was it hard to think about what you wanted your story to be about? Also I’m going to be helpful and say that, that images looks a lot like that indian castle from Charlie and the chocolate factory but, instead more frozen like.
I hope one day you would share more of your writing in the future. BYE
