Nellie the Elephant

The African elephant is the king among the giants on land. The largest African elephant weighed 13.5 tons (27,000 pounds). (The largest registered Indian and Asian elephants were both 11.3 ft (3.43 meters) tall). The world record holder weighed this much and stood 13ft / 4m tall at the shoulder.

  1. Kia ora Taylor it’s Jorjah from Paihia school, I love how you added facts to your blog post. This reminds me of when I wrote about animals at the zoo. I loved when you explain what the weight was and you added a picture to explain you thinking. How long did it take you to research and publish this piece of writing I think that overall it was an great little script of information. What I think that you can try to do better next time is add more information.

Have you ever seen a real elephant before, I haven't. I loved how you wrote your post and added detail. Did you know that elephants use mud to keep them nice and cool from the sun, It’s kinda like sunblock. Where did you see the elephant? How many have you seen?.
